Welcome to JD's movie page. I love movies almost as much as I love my Oakland Raiders but I'll stick to movies for this discussion. Just so you know, I'm one of those surround sound compulsive people as I just find I enjoy movies to their fullest on a big screen with Dolby Digital whether it be in the theater or at home. As for how I rate movies, I do this according to how much I enjoyed the film and how well the film was put together. I admit that I look for flaws. If a movie has too many contrivances in the plot or it is not edited well, that ruins a movie for me. You'll find that I have only given out a few 10's. On the other hand, I have many zero's handed out and these are movies that I absolutely HATED. I don't bother with all those specific ratings if the movie was less an 5. It either gets a 2.5 or a zero. Either a movie is very bad or it's brutal. So there you are, with an insight into how I rate movies. So check it out! JD
