Heartwarming and somber!!!!A very sweet tale about a sweet christian girl who is the outcast and made fun of until she has to tutor a popular rebel then her life is turned upside down!!!!!A very sweet movie that i absolutely fell in love with and the ending willl move you to tears heck what am I saying the whole movie will move you to tears!!!!Mandy Moore and her costar do a great job!!!!Whoever said singers couldn't act need to see Kelly Rowland in FVJ or simply watch Moore in an unbelievable and amazing role!!!!

This was definitely a teen chick flick for a rainy afternoon. However, I had read and enjoyed the book so I knew what to expect. It's a tender, sweet love story. Have a box of Kleenex handy. But beware, my husband thought it was silly.

Surprisingly not bad. Ebert and Roeper had given this a nod for a video pick, and they had mentioned that it was actually uplifting, so wife and I decided to give it a try. Although some parts were a bit cliché, and although the resolution of the film is somewhat empotionally manipulative, I thought the performances by both of the leads, given their past experience, were very good. Daryl Hannah as a brunette reminds me a bit of her botched attempt at Morticia in Addams Family Reunion. Worth a look.
